Textile artist MJ Kinman launches her new series, Diamond Divas, with "Elizabeth", a spectacular princess-cut diamond quilt pattern. The block is 46" square and, when placed on point, measures nearly 60" from tip to tip. MJ designed "Elizabeth" in blue, pink, yellow, and neutral colorways. This pattern, designed for the Intermediate quiltmaker, includes detailed instructions and fully-coded freezer paper templates (plus paper copies) to make 1 quilt block with 5" borders. Freezer paper piecing is not typical paper piecing. There is no need to sew fabric to a paper foundation. Templates are ironed to the right side of fabric, so there is no confusing reverse piecing. Templates are easily removed, so there are no paper bits to pull from the back of the quilt. And you only use the fabric needed since there is no flip-and-sew method used.
